Posted: 25 Jun 2005 Folks, some input please ? I'm trying to put together a 'series' of 'arty' pics of our native (initially) Herps. The idea is to create a series of prints, all in the same style - just for fun really. First template is of a Grassy, and I would welcome constructive criticism, any thoughts gratefully received. The theme will be wide borders with the subject breaking through somewhat. Anyhow, see below.

Posted: 26 Jun 2005 Tis a good point Gemma raises, I was torn between going for just a head, or trying to get some of a snake's body character into the pic. Posted: 26 Jun 2005 ...Although seeing some of the body gives a more overall idea of the snake and the black markings help to make it stand out from the background do you think? Try putting your hand over part of the picture on your computer and see how it looks. Just an idea.... Nice pic by the way. Suz |

Posted: 31 Mar 2006 Nice idea. The only bit that throws me is the lack of black line around the snout. I know this is supposed to appear like it is breaking out from the picture, might I suggest a slight shadow under the head> Deano Better to be lucky than good looking. |
